Liam Finn
The sight of Finn plying his sharply melodic pop and leaping from a looping guitar strum to a righteous pummelling of drumkit has held local, Australian and US audiences spellbound as he’s toured his solo album I’ll Be Lightning over the past few months, including a spot on the Dave Letterman Show. Finn took a break from fronting his London-based band Betchadupa to record a solo album and his tune “Second Chance” has proved a huge hit for the young songwriter at home. His Yep Roc album release and recent Rolling Stone US selection as one of the new young artists to watch for 2008 has set him up for a big year.
